We should abound in hope in the crazy and unpredictable times! God has not promised us smooth sailing or calm seas, but He has promised to be with us through all of the storms of life. Therefore, abound in hope because it comes from God. Follow His Word each day. Persevere.
Let’s consider the following verses that point to God’s abundant hope:
Romans 15:13 NKJV
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Romans 5:5 NKJV
Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit which was given to us. (Remember yesterday when we spoke of not being downcast. Hope does not disappoint.)
The Bible offers many verses of hope and encouragement in abundance. The Lord is not greedy with hope. He gives it to us freely. Hope abounds. From Scripture, we see how much God loves us, how much He is in control, and how much He has planned for His creation. Our duty is to look to Him for this abundanthope in His Word and through prayer and the power of the Spirit.
Psalm 33:22
Let Your mercy, O Lord, be upon us, Just as we hope in You.
I Peter 1:3
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hopethrough the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
Psalms 31:24
Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart, All you who hope in the Lord.
