Hope for Today

Monday

With all that has transpired in this world recently, we can sometimes be faint of heart or lose our joy and hope. Because of this, I began this blog to renew our hope in the true source of that hope for today. For this reason, our hearts, minds, and souls should not be downcast because our true, eternal hope is in our great God.

Romans 15:13 states, Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” In light of this, nothing that took place this last year caught an all-knowing God off-guard. Furthermore,  He has yet to be surprised by anything that happens, and He is always in control. Consequently, we should turn to the God of all hope, the source of hope for today and every day.

Psalm 42:3-5

                         I Peter 1:3

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

Look at Psalm 42:3-5 NKJV.

My tears have been my food day and night,
While they continually say to me,
“Where is your God?”

When I remember these things,
I pour out my soul within me.
For I used to go with the multitude;
I went with them to the house of God,
With the voice of joy and praise,
With a multitude that kept a pilgrim feast.

Why are you cast down, O my soul?
And why are you disquieted within me?
Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him
For the help of His countenance.

                         Ephesians 1:18

“… that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.”

Psalm 16:9

Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices; my flesh also will rest in hope.

 Psalm 147:11

The LORD takes pleasure in those who fear Him, in those who hope in His mercy.

I pray these verses and thoughts will help you to set your mind and heart on the Lord and His Word. Look for additional devotional material here.  Another place to find Bible content is here.
