Praying Always August 30-September 5

For Yours is the Kingdom and the Power and the Glory Forever. Amen.

The Goodness of God

For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

Our prayer focus continues with the summary of section two of the Lord’s Prayer. Section one emphasized the Lord and His name and His will.

Section two moves more into our needs and requests and dealing with our sins and those who sin against us.  This week’s emphasis is a summary of the entire Lord’s Prayer: “For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.”

This part of the Lord’s prayer focuses on the ultimate importance of prayer as an act of honor and reverence to the Lord and praise of His power and glory. Our prayers should not be about enriching ourselves and asking for things, but instead on faith in His kingdom, and His power, and His glory.
