The Name of the Lord, July 18

Sunday Prayer Focus

Pray for your church leadership and church members and friends as well as church needs and those ministries with which it associates. Also pray for your missionaries that are supported. Pray for both the physical as well as the spiritual needs of each of these groups.

The Name of the Lord

Holy, set apart, pure, high, to be respected and revered, unlike all other names in its sacred nature.

There is always hope.

Philippians 2:10

That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Hallowed Be Your Name!

Isaiah 42:8

I am the Lord, that is My name;
I will not give My glory to another,
Nor My praise to graven images.

Deuteronomy 5:11

You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.

Proverbs 18:10

The name of the Lord is a strong tower;
The righteous run to it and are safe.

Exodus 20:7

Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
