This is the Day the Lord has Made.
Psalm 118:24 This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
Most of us truly love this verse and may either quote it or sing it often. We are sometimes showing the joy of the Lord and trying to rejoice in every day that God gives us. But truly, this verse speaks of one specific day, and that is the day of the Lord’s resurrection. This verse is actually a prophecy of the resurrection of Christ that would come many years later. I still love this verse and want to rejoice each day, but I keep in mind the one day it refers to, and I remember on a weekly basis to celebrate, worship, and rejoice on that day of the week.
